At the Brookline tennis tournament Miss Betty Nulhail (England) and Lott (America) won Hie national title by defeating Mrs Co veil and Austin (England), 6—3, 6—3. In the final for the men’s national doubles Lott and Doeg (America) defeated Bell and White (America), 10—8, 16—14, 6—l. WRESTLING AND BOXING. MELBOURNE, September 1. In a wrestling contest at the Melbourne Stadium last evening John Pesek defeated A. D. Santell on points in eight rounds, after a rather uneventful contest. Neither man secured a 'fall. There were 12,000 spectators. NEW YORK, August 31. George Cook (Australia) is to fight Young Stribling on Monday at Macon, Georgia, instead of at Atlanta. PEDESTRIAN ISM. MELBOURNE, September 1.
