CHILD BURNED TO DEATH.

FANCY COSTUME CATCHES FIRE. RAWER A, Saturday. After being dressed in a costume made of paper and light woollen material to attend a children’s fancy dress ball last evening, Morris George Triiford, aged five years, son of Mr and Mrs J. Trilford, of Ohangai, came into contact with a naked light jin the house. The child suffered severe burns. He was admitted to the hospital at seven o’clock last evening and died at six o’clock this morning. The mother and father were .severely burned in endeavouring to smother the flames.
