OBITUARY.

MR G. B. DAVY.

(By Telegraph—Press Association. ) WELLINGTON, Monday. The death is announced of Mr George Boutflowcr Davy, formerly Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, at his residence, Wadestown, aged 94. He arrived in New Zealand from Devonshire in the ship Indian Empire in 1862. He was appointed. Warden and Resident Magistrate at Thames in 1860, District Land Registrar at Auckland two years later, then Registrar of General Lands in 1875, and Chief Judge of the Native Land Court in 1894. Re retired in 1904. In 1863 lie married Miss Liddell, of Auckland. Five members of his family survive..
