FATAL COLLISION
INQUEST ON CYCLIST. AN OPEN VERDICT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Ilermont Archibald Kiernan, aged 31, who, while riding a bicycle, collided with a motorcar driven by J- F. Donovan. The accident occurred on the night of August 14 in Petone, deceased receiving a fracture of the base of the skull. 77ic coroner returned a verdict that death was the result of injuries received in the collision.
