RUGBY FOOTBALL.

TO-MORROW’S MATCHES. PEACE CUP CHALLENGE. FIXTURES, TIMES AND TEAMS. The interest of Hamilton Rugby enthusiasts will be centred round the Peace Cup match at Rugby Park tomorrow afternoon when the Franklin represenatives will fulfil their challenge with the Hamilton holders for the trophy. The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. The home side is improved on the team which made such a favourable showing against Matamata last Saturday and it can be depended upon to fulfil the hopes of supporters providing the weather conditions arc favourable. Even in the event of a wet day, the side should act well. The choice of forwards could hardly be improved and few critics could cavil at the backs, who handled in capable fashion last week. Little Is known of the visiting side, but as the players are drawn from an extensive country district it is hound to be a farily strong one. In fact indications "point to a game which should be well worth watching and may even result in a surprise. Given fine weather, the match should draw a big following of patrons to the Whitiora grounds. The senior matches for the Clarke Cup will be carried a further stage. Marist is to meet Frankton on No. 2 ground at 3 p.m. and Old Boys A will play Old Boys B on No. 3 ground at the same time. City and Technical Old Boys will play-off on No. 3 ground at 1.30 p.m. The curtain-raiser to the representative game will be the semi-final junior knock-out between old Boys B and Marist.
