Martin (Auckland), 9.st 91b; J. McMahon (Taihape), 9st. 101 b, beat A. W. Argyle (Waimate), 9st. 101 b. Middle-weights. J. O’Connor (Wellington), list. 31b, beat R. McGhee (Manawatu), list. 31b. Welter-weights.—P. J. Stone (Wellington), lOst. 51b, beat C. McKnight (Auckland), lOst 51b, after an excellent contest. Stone proved the cleverer boxer. Feather-weights.—G. Wright (Canterbury), Bst. 121 b, beat P. Hawes (Westport), Bst. 131 b; W. G. Leckie (Otago), 8s t. 13Lb, beat W. Drinkwater (Manawatu), B.st. 81b, outclassing his opponent. Middleweight.—M. O’Brien (Auckland), 11.2, knocked out H. Davis (Otago), 11.2, in the first round. Featherweight.—ll. Johns (Auckland), 8.12, beat T. Dudley (Greymouth), 8.13. LECKIE DEFEATS SHACK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. In a professional boxing contest before a packed house to-night. Johnny Leckie, 9st. 21b, gained a close decision over Sammy Shack, fist. 2^lb. Leckie did most of the forcing, but Shack showed wonderful defence and used an effective right cross.
