THE ENGLISH TEAM’S TOUR. MATCH AT CHRISTCHURCH. (By: Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. ' The mariagemont committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association has decided to accept a match against England at Christmas, with a guarantee of £375. A resolution was carried approving of a visit of a Dominion team to England in 1931.
RETURN TO DISTRICT CRICKET. NO MORE OLD BOYS’ CLUBS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. At a special general meeting of delegates to the Canterbury Cricket Association yesterday it was decided not to grant affiliation to any further old boys, clubs, and that in the 1930-31 season a return he made to district cricket, with only six senior teams instead of eight. The teams to be eliminated arc High School Old Boys and Old Collegians.
