NAME OF CHEESE.
GUARANTEED OR STANDARDISED? \ Feeling that the name “standardised” ' as applied to cheese containing not less g than 50 per cent, of fat in the dry matter was an unfortunate choice, a supplier of the Pembroke Road Dairy j Company at the annual meeting moved to make representations to the Agri- t. cultural Department, asking lo have the dairy legulations amended in the : r direction of having the name “guar- v anteed” substituted in lieu of “stan- p dardised." a
Most suppliers were in favour of the alteration, but it was thought unwise to press for an alteration so soon after the name “standardised” had made its appearance on the London market.
After some discussion it was agreed lo leave the matter in abeyance pending some concerted action towards this end by other companies.
