FRANKTON SCHOOL.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. HEADMASTER’S REPORT. At the monthly meeting of the Frankton School Committee there were present Messrs Fredric (chairman), Kilham (vice-chairman), Leo (secretary), Barry, Halcrow, and Gilmore. Visitors to the school during the month were D. Henderson and Nurse Garland, who carried out the annual medical examination. Preliminary arrangements have been made for the dental examination and treatment of the children. Miss Valentine, medical supervisor of special classes, also visited the school during the month, and examined and tested several children. The prize money won by the school drill squads at the Winter Show will be utilised for sports material. The supply of a cup of cocoa to the scholars has proved a boon. The committee congratulated Mr Sheppard on the very fine report. After the recent inspection mention was made by the inspectors of the difficulties peculiar to Ibis school, i.c., the moving population; but notwithstanding this the efficiency was of a very high standard.
