The woman who has her hands in and out of water ail day is apt to find tiie cuticle of her nails becoming so thick and hard that it is difficult to push it back from the half-moons. Ordinary vaseline is a wonderful softener for the cuticle. It docs a lot towards preventing hang-nails, too, and will heal these painful things if they are already there. It will make a tremendous difference if it is rubbed well around the nails every night.

If. only a small quantity is used on each linger and that little rubbed in, there will be no trouble from greasy stains on the bed-linen.
