TO INDIA AND BACK. BACK AT CROYDON. (Australian Press Association.) (Received August 10, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 9. The Duchess of Bedford arrived at Croydon at 5.27 p.m., after a record air trip t’o India and back. The Duchess of Bedford and Captain Barnard set out from Lympne (Kent) on Friday, 2nd. inst., in an attempt to fly to India and back in eight days. They reached Karachi on Monday, sth. inst., and landed at Croydon on the eighth day. They have thus established a record for the journey and also for the home trip.
