The secret was first discovered by M. Georges Claude, <|f Paris, one of -the leading scientists o’f the world. As a result of M. Claude’s invention the rare gases of the air are turned into liquid and put to commercial us<s. The gas is easily produced, according to Mr Burroughs. "It' is tlie most romantic invention in the history of commerce,” said My Burroughs, who stated that five different colours are available for lighting purposes a.t present, though there ai{e 70 colours in use for experiments i£ the laboratories. j i
