MORRINSVILLE SCOUTS

FIRST ANNIVERSARY. The first anniversary of the Morrinsville troop of Boy Scouts was celebrated in the Masonic Hall, Morrinsville. The troop were entertained to a bountiful tea by the troop committee. Rev. P. \v. Wilkes, chairman of committee, acted as host. After tea the function was open to parents and well-wishers, and the boys submitted a scout sketch and gave demonstrations of first aid and knot, tying. Games were played and about bovs received their first year’s stars. ‘ Rev. Wilkes congratulated the boys and complimented the Scoutmaster, Rev. G. N. Garlick. on the progress made, which was very creditable for a first year’s work.
