As stated above they are in calf to a son of "Waipiko Masterpiece” “Alalfa Yankee”) and a grandson of the same great Butter-fat Bull. Nineteen Cows and due to calve by the end of July and the balance in August and early September. The herd has been tested by the Waikato Valley Herd-Testing Association and a catalogue showing individual records and calving dates will be available previous to the sale. The returns to the end of April show an average, of 2501 b of fat, including 53 heifers, and the average test for April was 6.2. We recommend this herd to buyers requiring high-class cows. When laying the foundation of the Shorthorn Stud only cattle of a true type backed with production records were secured, and a number of the cows are outstanding animals. - The herd of young grade Jersey Cows carrying 2nd. calf are all dark and'light fawns, with well set good shaped udders and teats, and are full of condition.
