FIGURES ON LETTER-BOXES.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—A matter to which, ! think, the Government Postal Department could turn its attention with, benelit to all concerned is its letter-boxes. Placed as they are at various points throughout the town and the suburbs, these are a great convenience to the public, it would be a vast improvement, however, if the lettering to indicate the hours at which these boxes are cleared were made more plain. They are a very sombre colour, and in the evenings it is impossible to decipher therm White figuring cn a b'ack body or viceversa would certainly he a big improvement.—t am, etc., MATCHES.
