DAYLIGHT SAVING.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —The session of Parliament will soon be upon us, and no doubt an effort will be made to resus-'llatc the Daylight Saving Act which will become Inoperative before next summer. 1 note that the farmers in council assembled are agreeable to the halfhdur, and are prepared to accept 11 is a reasonable compromise. Would it not be a gracious thing for the townspeople to accept the farmers’ olive branch, for the Bill could then be passed as a permanent measure and there would be none of the heartburning and antagonism which were so prominent in the summer of 1927-28. T am, etc,, COMPROMISE.
