Mr Maurice Ralph, South Island manager for J. G. Williamson, Ltd., left Hamilton last night for Wanganui.
Messrs W. D. Carbon (Christchurch) H. W. Lenpold, C. Campbell, X R Davenport, L. S. Hancock (Auckland) C J. Cuming (Wellington), A. Dawson (Adelaide), E. Roe (Rotorua), and R. K. Adams (Melbourne), are at the Hamilton Hotel.
The new commander of the Australian Navy, Rear-Admiral E. R. G. Evans, arrived at Sydney on tho Mooltan yesterday with his family. The occasion was marked by a sa'lhte of guns from warships and other naval ceremonies in which Rear-Admiral Evans’ predecessor, Commander G. F. Hyde, figured.
Mr. W. Fraser, the newly-elected president of the Technical School Teachers’ Association, has returned to Hamilton from the conference of the association in Wellington. Mr. F. L. N. Tuck, the other Hamilton representative at the conference, has also reiurne.d .to Hamilton*
