USING UP REMNANTS

Many of you have, I expect, got lots of lovely bits of material put by which you picked up at the sales. A good way of using them up, and quite an easy way, is to make cushions from them.

One. utilises two scraps of brocade, with strips of gold and silver tissue ribbon. A square one is made from pieces of taffeta in contrasting' shades. A galon effectively hides the joins. A round cushion is made from short lengths of ribbon in various colours, and is finished with a spray of flowers and a gathered frill of ribbon.
