BUILDING OPERATIONS

THE HAMILTON HOTEL. EXTENSIONS BEING PLANNED. Plans arc now in course of preparation for extensive additions to tiie Hamilton Hotel, for which work it is hoped to have everything ready to call tenders by the end of the month. Provision will lie made in the new building for six shops, with frontage to Victoria Street. When it is completed there will be approximately 35 to 40 living rooms, as well as a smoke lounge, writing rooms and private sitting rooms, additional to the accommodation of the present structure. The new building will extend from Ihe present hotel premises along Victoria Street, a distance of lit feet north. The aim is to have the new building ready , for occupation by November.
