WILD STATEMENTS. INFLAMMATORY SPEECHES. MELBOURNE AROUSED. (Australian Press Association) (Received May 8, 12.10 p.m.) •> MELBOURNE, May 8. Chief Justice Dethridgo has issued a statement emphatically denying the remarks made by Jock Gardon that, “In Sydney wo V, marohod in a body to the Court and ordered the judge to put us 1 ' into gaol. The associate to the , judge said to me, ‘Jock, the judge has got the wind up.’ I 4 - Interviewed the Judge and gained ‘ a promise that we would got what we wanted.” ~, Mr Justice Dethridgo says he has never spoken to Garden in his life, and would not know him. Garden’s Inflammatory speeches have arousod Melbourne- The Premier (Sir W. !¥!■ McPherson) has warned Garden that he would be well advised to restrain himself from Inciting the unionists.
