OBITUARY.
MR. Q. B. CHRISTIE.
(By Telegraph.— Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The death has occurred ot' Mr. George LI. Christie, local manager for the New Zealand Express Company for the past 15 years. He leaves a wife and daughter. SIR JOHN DENISON-PENDER. WELLINGTON, Thursday. A private cable received by the Eastern Extension Gable Company today states that Sir John DenisonPender, chairman of the Eastern and other associated cable companies, died at London yesterday afternoon, as a result of an attack of bronchial influenza. MR WILLIAM STEEN. The death occurred In the Auckland Hospital yesterday morning of Mr William Steen, of Papakura. Mr Steen was 76 years of age. He lived at Matamata for some years. MRS E. J. HUNTER-BROWN. The death occurred at Nelson in her 89th year of Mrs E. J. Hun ter-Brown, of “Long Look Out,” Nelson. Deceased was born in 18 50 and came to New Zealand at the age of 10.
