THE PRIME MINISTER.
GRATIFIED WITH RECEPTION.
WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Looking fit and well, the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, returned to Wellington to-night from Gisborne and Napier. "I have never felt better in my life,” said the Prime Minister. “The visit was not a political one and ttie manner in which 1 was received was therefore the more gratifying. 1 am satisfied from the expressions coming to hand from all over the country, that there is a desire on the part of the bulk of the people that the new Government should have a fair opportunity to put its policy Into operation."
