There is a temporary lull in the Afghan satuation, hut Bachiasakeo’s position Is daily becoming more precarious. Unrest and famine threaten Kabul, which is crowded with tribesmen. Habibullah, formerly the rebel chief, Bachiasakeo, is reported to have formed a Cabinet from the Mahmadzai, the elfin to whicli Amanullah belongs. The latter’s step-brother, Kablrunbin, is the new Prime Minister.
