AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. Wheat. —Spot stocks of fowl wheat arc Very low and the price is firmer at 7s 9d ex store, in sympathy With the advance in the South. Further supplies are expected on Monday, and merchants are confident of receiving prime quality. Oats and Chaff.—Oats are unchanged, with not 'much demand, but chaff has firmed about 7s 6d a ton, and it is difficult to obtain prompt delivery in the South. It is expected that the return of summer weather in the South will enable the oat harvest 'to be gathered in good condition. The local price has hardened, and the small stocks held are quoted at £9 15s to £lO. Bran and Pollard. —Bran is unchanged, with good supplies, but the recent importations of pollard from Australia and the South have moved off so well that only normal store stocks are held. The price ex store is £lO 5s ■for Australian, but on future arrivals this will have "to advance in sympathy with the higher price ruling in Australia. , . i Maize. —Demand is only moderate as * most poultry farmers are feeding oats or wheat during the summer and the price remains unchanged at 6s 6d ex store. Grass Seeds. —'Merchants are carefully making their preparations for the autumn demand for grass and clover seeds. It is not known whether there will be much burning for surface sowing this year, but if th° hot weather continues it is expected that farmers will take the opportunity to fire a few clearings. Potatoes. —Far too many tor the demand have arrived during the week, and the price is again lower at £5 las on trucks at Pukekohe, with not many buyers operating. Local merchants are asking 7s 6d to 8s ex store.
