CROQUET.
ANNUAL MEETING OF COUNCIL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Friday. Favourable comment upon the finances of the New Zealand Croquet Council was made at the annual meeting here last night. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr A. G. F. Ross; vice-president, Archdeacon Creed Mere-dith; official handicapper, Mr R. Caughley; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. A. E. Fergusonauditor, Mr G. W. Arlidge. The meeting adjourned until this evening. ,
