The annual report of the Wellington Gas Company for the year ended December 3i shows a. net profit o~ £6l 403. After payment of the interim dividend of 4 per cent, on the ordinary shares, and of the 5 per cent, preference dividend, setting aside £2l 666 for depreciation and £Io,OUU for 'the debenture redemption fund, the profit and loss balance amounted to £33 768. Out of this the directors propose to pay a further dividend of 4 per cent.
