Mrs Arthur Griffiths has returned from a motor tour of the Wairakei district. • * • • Miss Ebbett, who has been on a twelve months’ visit to Sydney, has returned to Hamilton. « m * * Mesdames V. Smith (New Plymouth), D. M. Francis (Auckland) and R. Burrell (Feilding) are at the Hamilton Hotel. / The daughter of an American industrial magnate , and the nephew of the King of Sweden' were united in the wedding of Miss Estelle Manville and Count Folke Bernadotte at the Episcopal Church of St. Prince Gustavus Adolphus, heir to the throne of Sweden, was best man. It is estimated that the wedding, at which there were 250 guests, cost at least £150,000. ENGAGEMENT. The engagement is announced of Mary Evelyn, the only daughter of Mr nd Mrs J. Everett-Seal, of Hamilton (formerly of Bayswater, London), to Alastair S. G. Adam, of Nelson, only son of the late Captain H. A. Adam, R.N., C.B.E.
