THE DAIRYING SEASON.
DECEMBER A GOOD MONTH. The records of the various dairying companies in the Waikato indicate that the output for last month compares well with that of the corresponding month of last season. Norfolk. The Norfolk co-operative Company, manufacturing cheese, received 58,608 lb. butterfat, and paid out £4395 12s, the rate being Is 6d per lb butterfat. The figures for December, 1927, were: 56,6291 b butterfat at Is 6d—total payout £4247 4s. '* Sunny Park. Sunny. Park this season is manufacturing niore cheese and less butter. The total payout for last month was £6677 2s 6d, against £5506 5s for December 1927. The total of butterfat for cheesemaking was 82,6451 b, and the total payout, at Is 6d per lb, was £6198 7s 6d; the corresponding figures for December, 1927, being 58,1681 b butterfat, at Is 4d, total £3877 16s. Butterfat received for butter last month amounted to 71801 b, the total payment at Is 4d being £478 15s; for the corresponding month of last season the figures were 29,1331 b, Is 2d, and £1628 9s. Bruntwood.
The Bruntwood Company paid out £4706 8s last month on 62,7521 b butterfat (for cheese) at Is 6d per lb. Last season the payout was £4769 14s on 63,5961 b at the same rate per lb.
