MARKETING PIGS.
ASSOCIATION’S REPORT. The New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association reports that during December 5330 pigs were handled, compared with 4690 for the same month in 1927. This made the total for the season 13,900, as against 5198 for the previous season. The fact that large quantities of pigs have been disposed of outside the Dominion should ease the local market very considerably during the time when pigs are usually offering in large quantities. It is hoped to clear up last season’s porxer pools during the current month. The delay in obtaining returns from London have hampered settlement.
