WRESTLING.
BOUTS AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. There was a very large attendance at the Town Hall last evening when two -..professional wrestling contests were staged. Kilonis was received with an outburst of hooting. Before the Kilonis-Sunni bout W. Bayne, of Te Awamutu, was introduced as challenger to the winner, while a telegram from K. Thompson signified his willingness to meet Sunni for the New Zealand title. ’ The match between Kilonis and Sunni was rather a poor one, the New Zealand champion being nearly two stone lighter than the Greek. Kilonis was the aggressor throughout and was given the verdict. The contest between Pat McCarthy, Irish and Canadian champion,, and .Jim Heslin, Australian heavy-weight champion, was much the better of the two to watch. The referee’s decision was a draw, and it was received in silencs by the crowd.
