BASS’ £940,000 PROFIT.
A final dividend on the ordinary shares of 15 per cent., with a bonus of 5 per . cent., both free of income tax, ip announced by Bass, Ratcliffe, and Gretton, the £3,500,000 Burton-on-Tren brewers, for the 15 months ended September 30. This makes, with the interim divi"dend paid last May, a total distribution of 25 per cent, tax free, compared with 15 per cent, tax free for the 12 months to June 30, 1927. ' Profits for the period amount to £940,000, compared with £560,160 last time, before charging debenture interest, and there remains a balance of £246,479 to be carried forward, as against £173,487 brought in. The price of the company’s ordinary shares advanced Is 6d on the Stock Exchange to 76s 6d.
