DAVIS CUP CONTEST. AUSTRALIAN ENTRY IMPROBABLE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, Dec. 18. Australia is not likely to send a Davis Cup team on tour next year. Crawford and Hopman arc not available, Patterson is retiring, and Willard, Schlesinger, Cummings and Moon are not considered to be up to Davis Cup standard.
AUSTRALIA'S DECISION. WILL NOT COMPETE. (Received Dec. 19, 10.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 19. The Australian Lawn Tennis Association has definitely decided that no Davis Cup team will be sent from Australia next year.
