Have you heard that white sheepskin rugs can be cleaned easily at home in this manner? Heat a mixture of salt and flour (but be careful not to let it scorch or brown) and rub it well into the rug. Leave for a few hours and then beat out lightly with a cane. • • • • Are your pearls getting dirty and dull? This is the way to clean them: Wash them thoroughly in a little warm water (not hot), dry them carefully, and then place in a cup or utensil full of boxwood sawdust. Shake slightly now and again.
