ALLEGED MURDER.
KONDININ TRAGEDY. ACCUSED SENT FOR TRIAL. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —-Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) ♦ (Reoeived Dec. 19, 9.30 a.ra.) PERTH, Dec. 19. At the inquest held into the death of William O’Brien who was shot while asleep at a hostel in _ Kondinin. Walter Jermyn, aged 50, his partner, was committed for trial on a charge of wilful murder. Evidence was given by a housemaid that she saw Mrs Jermyn remove two cartridges from Jermyn s pocket similar to those in Court. She also heard the two men quarrelling on the night of the tragedy. Jermyn in a statement to the police said that on numerous occasions he had found O’Brien and Mrs Jermyn in compromising circumstances.
A message from Kondinin says Pat rick O'Brien, aged 32, was shot dead while in his bed at the Mon Repos Hostel. O'Brien's partner in a motor engineering works was arrested on a charge of drunkenness, pending inquiries. A gun with one cartridge exploded was found ia-ajjaniQLi
