Many houses were unroofed by ~.;,,. the force of the wind. „Y One roof which was lifted into : the air Landed on the top of a two-storey building. The hospital was unroofed and there was soon a foot of water in the rooms.
Many business places were severely damaged. AH traffic was brought to a standstill and public utilities were Interrupted.
