4 \{ WITH KING'S CONDITION. 1 1' i OPERATION ONLY ALTERNATIVE. { (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) «! (Received Dec. 14, 2.25 p.m.) Z, * LONDON, Dec. 13. \ The Daily Express states the Royal ■' Family are entirely satisfied with the i condition of'the Kind's.health Ito-night. * There was great'anxiety at the Palace l\ last night due to doubt as to whether 4 the King's heart was strong enough & to stand the operation. ' : -'*- It was pointed out to both the Queen and Prince of Wales that if the operation was not performed the toxaemia would in all probability be fatal. It was ultimately decided that the operation, clangorous as it was, was the only alternative. The Express' medical correspondent describes the bulletin as satisfactory. It cannot be expected that recovery will be ra,pid. A pleasant feature is that there is no mention of heart weakness.
