REV. C. CHANDLER TO LECTURE. IN HAMILTON NEXT WEDNESDAY. A lecture full of life, humour and pathos is promised Hamilton people at the Alexandra Hall next Wednesday. Hev. Charles Chandler, prison chaplain, Mt. Eden, is to be the speaker. He has already spoken at Hamilton, and those who heard him found his presentation of the theme of ".Mending Broken Men" exceptionally interesting and his attitude to the unfortunate thoroughly sympathetic Mr Chandler is lecturing here and at other centres —Huntly next Thursday. Ngaruawahia on Friday, and Cambridge the following Monday—under the auspices of the Auckland City Mission and the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society. Before joining Rev. Jasper Calder at Auckland last January, he was engaged in city mission work in Sydney for some years. The Mayor. Mr J. R. Fow, will preside at the Hamilton lecture. A collection will- be taken in aid of the work.
