CALEDONIAN CONCERT.
ST. ANDREW'S NIGHT. Last night, being St. Andrew's night, the South Auckland Caledonian Society held'their monthly concert and dance. Although the attendance was not as as the previous social, the evena good one, a special feature being the Working Men's Club orchestra. The society's Pipe Band opened the evening Miss I. Taylor then giving a seantrubhias. The Working Men's Orchestra rendered a selection, which was followed by a song from Mr Mason, who received a well-deserved encore' Mrs Mason also sang a solo, and later Mr and Mrs Mason were heard in a duet. Miss Gladys Denz supplied dance items ' th " SO b ' 3,ns li:sh jigs and sailor's hornpipes b.y Viola Moronev and Alice Lindsay. Isabel Tayior danced a clog dance. Mrs Liiider was well received with her elocutionary numbers, as wis the Mathieson family in their orchestral selections. Miss Y. Whitlock was the accompanist., and the dance music was plaved by the Working Men's Club orchestra and the Mathieson t'amilly, extras being supplied by Miss Filmer, Miss Whitlock. and Mr L. Cameron. "Auld Lang Syne"' ended another successful evening of the society.
