VITAL STATISTICS.
FIGURES FOR AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Saturday. The births for the month total 242, as against 331 for the same month last year; deaths, 135, as against 127; and marriages, 173, as against 191. During the month the registrar performed 39 marriages, compared with 41 in November, 1927. For the eleven months this year there have been 2759 births, as compared with 3262 in the croresponding period in 1927. Deaths total 1627, as against 1657, and marriages 1854, as against 1845. A total of 459 marriages was performed by the registrar, as compared with 451 for eleven months in 1927.
