WHITIORA CROQUET CLUB.

FAREWELL TO MRS. SOMERVELL. It was a beautiful afternoon on Wednesday when the members of the Whitiora Croquet Club met to bid farewell to one of their most popular members, Mrs. J. Somervell, who is leaving to take up her residence in Auckland. Mrs. W. E. Burrow, president, spoke of the popularity of their guest and how she had at all tirnqs been so willing to give of her best. On behalf of the members she asked Mrs. Somervell to accept a handsome handbag and a beautiful bouquet. Mrs. Somervell feelingly responded. Progressive croquet was played, Mrs. Evans winning the A section and Miss Ibbotson the B section. Miss Jones won the target, and the clock trophy went to Mrs. Turbott.
