A frve-month-old baby's, hunger strike has brought a court pardon to its mother. Mrs Annie Grieves was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for theft, leaving at home five children, •including a baby. The latter declined the bottle, and was slowly starving, when a physician appealed to the court to allow the mother to go home and save its life. The judge agreed.
