A CHOIR OF 800. A slim, dark man In black stood on a small platform, and at tbe wave of his baton a soaring melody of voice and violin echoed amid the arctics of St. Mary’s Cathedral, says a Sydney paper. The ch-oir of 800 was conducted by Maestro Mario Pettorelli, and the singing .was exceptionally line. The orchestra comprised 32 instruments, and Mr 11. B. Dawkins was at the organ. For the first time in Sydney Metterer’s Mass was sung and another composition was the first part of the “Passion In Christ.”
