MORRINSVILLE.
The Weather. During the last few days very stormy weather has been experienced in the Morrinsville district. The fall of rain for 24 hours on Thursday was l.OSin, as much as was recorded for the month of August. The wind at times has amounted to a regular hurricane, and some damage has been reported to plantations and buildings. On Friday the shelter in connection with the Tatuanui school was blown over. Several children were in the building at the time, but fortunately none of them was injured. For a week previous to this storm mild spring weather had been experienced, grass was growing fast and the country looking beautifully green, and stock were looking remarkably well for the time of year. Lambs in almost all cases are doing better than for many seasons past, and will soon be fit for the market, which at present is very tempting. The unsettled weather and the uncertainty of electric light and power supply have made the last week an .anxious Umx» for dairy fn rmp.ru
