The Australian Open Golf Championship eliminating rounds resulted in three players being level for the first place. Spence (Queensland) and Sinclair and Popptewetl (New South Wales) are 117. The last-named was a former Australian champion. The chief among the runners-up arcNetllcford (Tasmanian champion),' Nigel Smith and Herd (New South Wales) and Stewart (South Australia), ail 118. Only GO qualified in Ihe concluding stages, including one New Zealander, A. D. S. Duncan, 159. K. Duncan failed with IG9. The final eighteen holes are being decided this afternoon.
