Vickery return during the week-end from a holiday to Rotorua. * * * • Mesdames Churton (Wairakei), J. V. Moran (Sydney), G. A. Joaas > Misses R.'Robertson (Auckland), ana A. Marsdon (Wellington), are among the Hamilton Hotel guests. • « % • Miss Edith Lyttelton, well known as J B Lyttelton, writer of books with New’Zealand, Canada and other countries as their setting, is returning to New Zealand next week from a visit to Tasmania. She intends spending some time in the North Island. • * * * A bridge party is to be given in aid of the funds for the Claudelands Girl Guides on Monday evening at the Ilaeremai Tea Rooms. Everything possible 4* to further the Guide movement in ► Hamilton is being done, and funds are urgently needed. It is hoped that the evening will, be well patronised by those interested, and that it.will result in giving practical help to so worthy a cause.

Beaver, Hauraki Plains, to John James, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. Fleming, Paeroa.
