QUEENSLAND MURDER.

Herbert Algar Storey, aged 21, appeared at Bow Street on a provisional warrant charging him with the murder of Frederick Charles Waier, some time in June, w’hen scrub-cutting at Bongee, Queensland. Storey pleaded not guilty' and was remanded in custodyVor a week. Meanwhile the police are communicating with Queensland for further identification data.

Inspector Humphries gave evidence that on September 5, with two sergeants, he boarded the Sydic at Gravesend and interviewed accused. Witness said he had a warrant for the arrest of James Morris Kelly for the murder of Frederick Charles Water iu Queensland. Accused denied everything, and said he had migrated to Australia in July, 1925. lie did all sorts of work, including scrub-cutting, but was at Cowrie, New South Wales more than a year ago. He denied having known or beard of Waier or used the name of Kelly. He was in Sydney in June, and part of July. Inspector Humphries, however, was of opinion that Storey was indentieal with Kelly. fWlien charged .Storey declared:, “You have made a mistake.” Storey from the dock, said: “I will have no trouble in proving I am Storey from Keutishtown. I do not fear anything from Sydney.” . Waier was also a migrant.
