CRUSHED BY LORRY.

ACCIDENT NEAR NGARUAWAHIA. (Special to Times.) NGARUAWAHIA, Wednesday. Yesterday afternoon a Maori named Jack Muru was severely crushed between a lorry and a roadside bank. The lorry, driven by Mr R. Gibb, of Ngaruawahia, got into difficulties on the Puroa road, which was in very bad condition. Muru got out to shove the vehicle, and, as it started, he ran alongside, intending to jump aboard. Mr Gibb, not knowing that his comrade was alongside swerved the lorry close to tho bank to avoid a bad piece of road. Muru was caught between the lorry and the bank, and was badly crushed about the hips. Medical aid was summoned from Ngaruawahia, and Muru was afterwards taken to Waikato Hospital.
