REMARKABLE ESCAPE.
CAR T'JRNB SOMERSAULT. PRECIPITATED OVER BANK. OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Tuesday. Three occupants of a car which plunged off the road on Wharerata Hill at night had a remarkable escape. The * car turned a complete somersault and slid 50 feet down the hill before its descent was arrested by a tree. The car was extensively damaged, but with the exception of one small cut, caused by falling glass, the occupants escaped Injury. __________
