THAMES VALLEY. meeting of executive. An executive meeting of the Thames Valley A. and P. Association was held at Te Aroha on Saturday'. Mr r. The chairman reported that tne Domain Board had agreed to fall in with the wishes of the association, in allowing it the use of more ground than it held at present. The Domain Board had met the association very fairly in the matter. Arrangements could now be made to proceed with the annual show. A motion was carried accepting the Domain Board’s proposals. Mr Kenrick stated that it had been agreed to expend up to £2OO on yards. The chairman: It would be very much better to expend £BOO on new yards, but £2OO would be well spent this year. Mr Montgomery favoured 30 per cent, of all moneys received being expended on the yards. The chairman concurredThis was agreed to. Re-building the Pavilion. It was agreed to approach the Government for a £ for £ subsidy, up to £I2OO, for the purpose of re-building tlie pavilion, grandstand and yards. Mr Williams was appointed press steward. ' ■ Messrs E. J. Hazellon, J. Ward, J. Colson, J- Munro, F. W. Walters, W. Dale and W. Montgomery were appointed a yards repairs committee; steward of side-shows committee, Mr A. J. Burrows; Boys’ Scout steward, Mr 11. Ward. The stock commitee was empowered to revise the schedule. It was agreed that each committee be asked to nominate a judgeChildren’s Work. Mr Aiken spoke in regard to the children's work. It had been discussed by the teachers, when the opinion was expressed that it were better to enter for exhibition purposes only', for the various sections interfered in some way with the ordinary work of the school. He felt that the entries would be equally attractive. Certainly it was an incentive to the children to obtain prizes. The teachers considered tiial the exhibition of school work would be as creditable as in previous years. Mr Walters was of the opinion that the parents had to be considered, for it was essential that they should see the work the children are doing. It was agreed to ask the teachers to re-consider their decision.

The chairman favoured the holding of a meeting of sports bodies to consider the question of bolding a queen carnival.

A committee comprising Messrs Dale, Kenrick and Strange was appointed.
