ROSEHILL MEETING. NEW ZEALAND HORSES’ SUCCESS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—copyright-}) (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, August 19. The Rosehill meeting was held today in fine weather. New Zealand opened the spring campaign promisingly. Rosprea, the half-brother to Ballymena and Limerick, won the Three-year-old Handicap easily, and his style impressed the critics. Fool’s Paradise, another New Zealand-bred gelding, ran a good race in the High-, weight Handicap. The following are the details of tho events:— THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP. Of £200; 7 fur. ROSCREA, 8.9 F CANBERRA FLORIN t SALTPAN, 8.2 ti tDead-heat. Nineteen started. Roscrea won by three lengths from Canberra Florin and Saltpan, who ran a dead-heat for second place. Time, 1.27. ’ HIGH-WEIGHT HANDICAP. Of £200; 6 fur. (Second Division), , FIGURE. 9.C - f’ HABASKON, 9.6 2 FOOL’S PARADISE, 10.0 3 - Fourteen started.* Figure won by a length. Time, 1.133.
